| The ¼ acre garden began as an idea from the Extension office and bloomed to fruition with the addition of land (owned by Faithful Shepherd) and some tremendous help from the Master Gardeners. Started in 2003, the garden has grown in productivity yearly with approximately 2 tons of vegetables harvested per year. In 2007, irrigation was added to the garden which improved the harvest to approximately 5 tons harvested.

| The produce is used in different ways. Most of the harvest is transported to the Omaha Food Bank for distribution to its providers. Some of the produce is used by the Extension office for educational purposes and the church uses some of the produce for people in need who come seeking help. |
