The Tucson Handweavers and Spinners Guild was founded in October 1973 with an original membership of 35 artists. This year, its 50th year, the guild has a membership of over 200.  The guild has enlarged its focus to include not only weaving and spinning but many fiber arts. Our mission is to teach and demonstrate to others different fiber arts and to encourage our members to strive for excellence in the art and fine craft of fiber arts.  To celebrate our 50th anniversary, demonstrations are being held around Tucson highlighting the Guild and its myriad of fiber arts.  To find out more information about our guild and our 50th Anniversary celebration go to www.fiberartstucson.org and www.thsg.org.
