Mission Garden Reference Library

Our mission is to provide access for the Mission Garden community to research materials pertaining to Tucson’s agricultural heritage.

Location: Mission Garden Education Building, Conference Room, 946 W. Mission Lane, Tucson, Az. 85745

Library Use: The library reading room is open to the public on Fridays from 10 am to 12 pm.

Lending policy: Library materials that are not marked “for library use only” can be borrowed for three-week periods by staff and active volunteers of Mission Garden following the instructions posted in the library. Returns are left on the designated shelf in the library. All lost items will be replaced by borrowers.

Access to the Library Reading Room is only available during opening hours. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Code of Conduct: The library is a quiet and safe environment and shared workspace. Library users respect each other and all members of the Mission Garden community.

Donations: Reference materials on pertinent topics--local gardening, agriculture, food system, ethnobotany, ethnography, ecology, cultural and natural history, archaeology, and anthropology—are welcomed. Donated materials are left on the designated shelf in the library.

Public wifi is available on Mission Garden premises, including in the Reading Room.
