Hands-on Archaeology

Saturday, September 25, 2021, 8-12pm
FREE with $5 suggested donation at the Gate.

Allen Denoyer of Archaeology Southwest will again do Hands-on Archaeology programs on the fourth Saturday of each month at Mission Garden. This month it will be throwing spears with atl-atls (spear throwers). Allen is an expert preservation archaeologist, specializing in learning how ancient technologies like atl-atls, arrowheads, and ground stone were made and used. This event is ideal for children. Each month there will be a different demonstration. Archaeology Southwest is a Tucson-based, non-profit fostering meaningful connections to the past and respectfully safeguarding irreplaceable resources in the Southwest.
