Field Trips
Thank you for your interest in visiting Mission Garden with your school group. Please read the information below then scroll down to complete and submit the form request.
About Us
Mission Garden is a living agricultural museum of Sonoran Desert-adapted heritage fruit trees, traditional local heirloom crops and edible native plants. You can learn more about the garden by exploring our website, including the Virtual Tour.
Times
School tours at Mission Garden generally are taught during the hours we are open to the public. Those hours are: October – March, Wednesday through Saturday, 8am – 2pm, April – September, Wednesday through Saturday, 8am – 12pm. Tours during other times require special consideration.
Cost
We request a donation of $5-10 per student, depending on your school's ability. Chaperones and students from Title 1 schools are free.
Mission Garden is now offering funding to help cover the cost of transportation to the garden for Title One schools that are within Tucson city limits. Funds are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first served basis. Please indicate if you qualify and would like to be considered for support with the cost of transportation on the application form.
Transportation funding is provided by the Mission Garden Youth Education Endowment, which is open for additional contributions. If you are interested in giving to this fund, email info@missiongarden.org.
