FREE, with $5 suggested donation upon entering the garden

Herbalist and native plant expert Pam Hyde-Nakai will lead a small group on a walk through Mission Garden looking at medicinal foods and herbs. (Group limited to 10--sign up below.) Learn about the medicinal plants of Mission Garden as you stroll through the garden and visit the Michael Moore Medicinal Garden. She will talk about uses and preparations of these local and regional herbal medicines. Pam has been a student of the plant world for forty years, beginning on the Navajo reservation. She studied with Michael Moore, the great Southwestern expert on contemporary herbal medicine, in 1988. She was inspired by him to teach beginning and intermediate students, and in 1994 she created the Sonoran Herbal Institute in Tucson, Arizona.
