Celebrate Pascua Yaqui Recognition Day at Mission Garden!
Join us on Saturday, September 13 from 9am–Noon for a Paper Flower Making Workshop in honor of Pascua Yaqui Recognition Day.
Recognition Day, officially observed on September 18, commemorates the Pascua Yaqui Tribe’s federal recognition in 1978. Each year, the celebration brings together the community with cultural displays, music, food, and art that highlight Yaqui heritage and sovereignty.
Come be part of this special occasion by learning how to make paper flowers to honor the rich cultural traditions of the Pascua Yaqui people. Members of Mission Garden's Yoeme Garden Committee will lead this family-friendly, hands-on workshop. Drop-in any time between 9am and noon at the Education Building.
