This month, we are celebrating pomagranates! Originating in northern Persia, pomegranates were domesticated some 6000 years ago. Many local specimens are believed to be clones of the trees European missionaries first introduced into the Pimería Alta during the early 18th century. Read more about pomagranates in Mission Garden.
